Pre-wedding Skincare Guide

When it comes to your wedding day skincare routine, you can start as soon as the invitations are in the mail. That's right; it is never too soon to start.

First, we say drink up! Although there should always be plenty of champagne, we are talking about water. Drinking plenty of water will help your skin stay hydrated and healthy. If you get into the habit of drinking enough H2O now, it might be a habit that stays with you long after the honeymoon is over. Fresh juice is a great skin booster too.

Eating healthy food, exercising, getting plenty of sleep and avoiding stress is also beneficial if you want lovely, glowing skin.

If you have skin issues, it is time to deal with them. Book an appointment with a good dermatologist who will be able to recommend treatments to get your skin in the best condition leading up to the big day. If you want to consider laser hair removal, Botox and regular facials, your dermatologist is the right person to talk to. It is always better to get one professional to handle everything if possible or ask for a referral if the service you need isn't offered.

Invest in quality products, including cleanser, toner, moisturizer and night cream for your face. Serums and hydrating masks are wonderful but make sure you start using them at least three months before the wedding to ensure they are suitable for your skin.

Don't forget your body! Use an exfoliant in the shower and indulge in a body scrub and wrap at a luxury spa the month of the wedding. Manicures and pedicures should be booked in too! Of course, that goes for any grooms too. A mini-man make-over is a thoughtful gift that he would appreciate.

It sure is a lot of pampering that you so deserve. So map out a plan on paper and follow it carefully and we promise your skin will look better than ever when you marry the love of your life.
